They are the only national program in the U.S. with a strong emphasis on curriculum and professional development for K-12 educators that focuses on human population issues. What were our goals?

When we were first tasked with increasing traffic to our client's website, we knew that it would be no easy feat. Our goal was to not only increase overall traffic to the website's education resources and activities but also needed to increase the percentage of traffic from organic search (SEO).

In this blog post, we'll share some insights into the steps we took to reach the goals for increased website traffic from SEO.

Aligning Content Strategy with Audience Demand

The first step in our strategy was to align our content strategy with audience demand. We knew that to get people to visit our website, we had to give them content that they wanted to see. We researched what topics were being talked about in our client's industry and made sure that we had quality blog posts and articles on those topics.

We also did a deep dive into our client's Google Analytics to see which content pieces were being visited the most and shared the most. We used this data to help shape our future content strategy.

Additionally, we looked at what topics our competitors were talking about and made sure that we had content on those topics as well. We didn't want people going to our competitor's websites because they couldn't find what they were looking for on ours.

Optimizing Existing Site Assets

The second step in our process was to optimize existing site assets. This included making sure that our website was designed in a way that was user-friendly and easy to navigate. We also made sure that all of our website's content was high-quality and well-written.

In addition, we ensured that all of our website's pages were properly optimized for SEO. This included adding relevant keywords, Meta descriptions, and titles. We also made sure to include internal links to other relevant parts of our website, including related content.

Creating a Pipeline of New Content

Finally, we created a pipeline of new content and optimized it on an ongoing basis. To do this, we made sure to post new blog articles and resources regularly. We also shared this content across our social media channels to help drive traffic back to our website.

This ensured that there was always new, fresh content on our website for people to read. It also helped us to build a base of loyal readers who kept coming back for more content on relevant topics.

The Results (Drumroll, please)!

The process of increasing traffic to our client's website was no easy feat, but it was worth it in the end. By following the steps that we outlined above, we were able to increase traffic by 5,000% and increase the percentage of traffic coming from SEO by 82% in less than 24 months.

Naturally, the solution we deployed here will help generally improve organic traffic in some situations. If you're looking for ways to increase traffic to your website, we recommend reaching out using the button below or trying out our Digital Growth Navigator service.
